Isn’t it funny how the fashion schedule is everyday busier?
I barely had a good look at the Fall looks and the Pre-Fall season has already begun! Either I’m too slow or people work really fast.
I always ask myself: How can designers create so many collection in such short periods of time?
And I know that I’m not the target audience (but soon I will be), but who can keep up with all the collections other than celebrities, models and fashion editors? Seriously, unless you are a millionaire, you can´t keep up with all that.
And something has called my attention in the last few seasons. The Pre-Fall and Resort are either a preview or a continuation of what designer showed on Fall or Spring.
Don’t get me wrong. I love clothes. If I could, I would wear new clothes everyday, but it’s harder and harder to find things that really wow me. I can’t shake the feeling that I’ve seen it before on most shows.
Of course that does not apply to every one. There are always the geniuses that no matter how many collections they make in a year they are always amazing, but the volume of things that are just average is massive.
On one hand, I would like to see different things every season, but on the other hand, no one would be able to keep up with the news trends if they changed every 2 or 3 months. So, it isn’t yet clear to me how good or bad having so many season is. I just think that when there were fewer seasons and collections, designer had more time to create and come up with something great in comparison to now, where most of the things are just okay.

Cada dia o calendário da moda fica mais cheio.
Eu mal consegui ver direito os desfiles de Inverno 2013 e o Pre-Fall já começou. Ou eu sou muito devagar ou as pessoas trabalham muito rápido.
Eu sempre me pergunto: Como os designer conseguem criar tantas coleções em períodos de tempo tão curtos?
É claro que eu não sou o público alvo (mas logo serei!), mas quem consegue acompanhar todas as coleções além de celebridades, modelos e editoras de moda? Sério, se você não for milionário, não tem como acompanhar tudo isso.
Uma coisa vem me chamando a atenção nas últimas temporadas. O Pre-Fall e o Resort são ou uma prévia ou uma continuação daquilo que o designer mostrou na coleção de Inverno ou de Verão.
Não me entenda mal. Eu adoro roupas. Se eu pudesse eu usaria roupas novas todos os dias, mas cada vez é mais difícil encontrar coisas que realmente me surpreendam. Eu vejo as coleções e eu tenho a impressão de que eu já vi isso antes.
Claro que isso não se aplica a todos. A moda sempre tem alguns gênios que não importa quantas coleções sejam feitas por ano, todas as suas criações são maravilhosas, mas o volume de coisas que são apenas regulares é enorme.
Por um lado, eu gostaria de ver coisas diferentes todas as temporadas, mas por outro, ninguém conseguiria acompanhar as novas tendências se elas mudassem a cada 2 ou 3 meses. Por isso, para mim ainda não e claro se é bom ou ruim ter tantas temporadas. Mas eu acredito que se houvessem menos temporadas e coleções, os designers teriam mais tempo para criar coisas maravilhosas, em relação ao que é feito agora que é na maior parte das vezes ok.
