House of Gold & Bones – Part 1 + Koi No Yokan

When I was 12 years old and all my life was ahead of me, knowing that a new CD was coming out would make me very happy.

All the expectation, then buying the CD, unwrapping it, listening to it for the first time, it was an amazing experience.

Unfortunately, with time the quality of music has fallen drastically, and it is rare the album that is decent, let alone great.

But thing are starting to look up! This month two albums came out and they are both AMAZING!!!!

The first one is House of Gold & Bones – Part 1 by Stone Sour.

I was a little skeptical with all the fuss that Corey made about this album. I mean, I know that he is an incredible artist and all, but you can´t believe everything that you hear.

An then I saw the video for Gone Sovereign and the song just got to my head. Then it came Absolute Zero and I immediately loved it (and I hardly ever like a song the first time I listen to it).

And the whole album is amazing! Every song is great and I can´t stop listening to it! Unless I’m listening to Koi No Yokan, the new Deftones album.

As I grew up, I never thought that the Deftones would make a better album than White Pony. Diamond Eyes proved me wrong but I was sure that that was it. Wrong again!

Koi No Yokan is one of those albums in which every song is better than the last and you listen to it from start to end and enjoy every single track of it. I’m in love!

Leathers is in my playlist for weeks and Tempest, Swerve City and Graphic Nature are just so great I can’t even describe it.

In short, I haven’t been this happy because of new music since I was 14 and music was all I had. That’s why Taylor and Moreno will always be on my top 5 rockstars’ list!

Quando eu tinha 12 anos e tinha toda a vida pela frente, saber que um CD novo ia sair me deixava muito feliz!

Toda a espera, a compra do CD, abrir a embalagem e ouvi-lo pela primeira vez era uma experiência fantástica.

Infelizmente, com o tempo a qualidade das músicas caiu drasticamente e é muito raro encontrar um álbum que seja razoável, muito menos ótimo.

Mas as coisas estão começando a mudar! Esse mês dois CDs foram lançados e os dois são maravilhosos!!!!

O primeiro é House of Gold & Bones – Part 1 do Stone Sour.

Eu não estava botando muita fé em todo o barulho que o Corey Taylor estava fazendo. Eu sei que ele é um artista maravilhoso, mas não dá pra acreditar em tudo o que se ouve.

Então eu vi o vídeo de Gone Sovereign e a música ficou na minha cabeça. Aí eu vi Absolute Zero e eu adorei da primeira vez que eu ouvi (e eu raramente gosto de uma música da primeira vez que eu escuto).

O álbum inteiro é muito bom. Todas as músicas são ótimas e eu não consigo parar de ouvir. A não ser para ouvir o novo do Deftones, Koi No Yokan.

Eu achava que o Deftones nunca ia fazer nada melhor que  White Pony. Aí veio Diamond Eyes para mostrar que eu estava errada, mas eu tinha certeza que não vinha nada melhor que isso. Errei de novo!

Koi No Yokan é um dos álbuns que cada música é melhor que a outra e que dá para ouvir do começo ao fim e adorar cada uma das músicas.

Leathers está na minha playlist há semanas e Tempest, Swerve City e Graphic Nature são tão boas que eu nem tenho como descrever.

Em suma, faz muito tempo que eu não ficava tão animada assim com músicas novas. Acho que desde que eu tinha 14 anos e música era tudo o que eu tinha. É por isso que o Taylor e o Moreno sempre vão estar no meu top 5 de rockstars!
